Passover 2013 / 5773 is here and that means Seders!
Here's a shot of the Fabric Wall Hanging that Marla made with residents. You may have read about this in Ross's Friday email, when he mentioned that the residents call it "the world's largest matzah cover." Now all we have to do is find the world's largest matzah.
Here's a special volunteer. (This is Donna Head, for those who may not know.) She came to help set up for both Seders. She also comes just about every other week for our Crochet Club. She doesn't really know how to retire very well, does she? We're glad she doesn't!
Everyone gets busy on Passover to help get ready for the big Seder in the Dining Room.
(And this year, we had the additional Seder in Helen's Place, but we'll get to that in a moment.)
So, the title of this blog post is "First Helen's Place Passover!" Really, it was pretty much the First Helen's Place Anything. On Monday, March 25th, the first of Helen's Place residents moved in, and that night we celebrated the first Seder with a small group of about 10 composed or new residents, future residents and guests.
We compiled a special Haggadah and took it out for a test run.
The food was superb - choice of Cornish Hen or Brisket.
And the Program manager Nelly Gertsberg was on hand to, uh, help pour wine...or something.
Chag Sameach from all of us at Stone Gardens and Helen's Place!
