In the Wilderness

Here's video from our trip to the Cleveland Zoo RainForest. The video is one of the longest I've posted, but it really zips by. I'm getting better at editing and I think this will hold your attention. There are a lot of quick cuts, and it's pretty amusing. So, go on. Give it a shot.

Purim!

The photos and video speak for themselves!

Maybe this one speaks a little too loudly.

My three favorite lines of the day pertaining to my costume:

1) In the morning at home. Me (to my daughter Mariah): "Mariah, honey, please come here and help me with my tiara." Mariah: "Why can't I have a normal life?"

2) Rabbi Rosie Haim at The Temple Tifereth Israel: "Noah, you outdo yourself every year. Or, maybe you just out yourself."

3) An eight year old girl: "I have a REAL tiara at home." (pointing to my chest) "And I can tell THOSE are fake."

Oh Today We'll Merry, Merry Be...

Chang Sameach! Purim is just about here and we have been getting in the mood. One of our chefs, Matthew Bauman, held a Hamentashen baking session with residents in the Art Studio (which also has a small Milchig kitchen) the other day. I've got some photos and a 4 and half minute video montage to show you. (Be glad I've learned how to edit Flip camera footage - four and a half minutes may seem like a lot, but I really edited edited the raw footage. A lot.)

And here I am taking a picture of myself using the Flip camera to video the event (which you can see below). How do I do it!?

Thanks to David Walker, our Dietary Manager, who took most of these pictures. And now, here's the video:

Just Because...We Could

Here's some footage from out trip to the Polka Hall of Fame last month. Cleveland is, after all, the home of America's Polka King, Grammy winner Frankie Yankovic.

And now, for those of you who have seven and a half minutes to listen to Polka music, which I, of course, do not because I'm at work, here's a video of Frankie Yankovic performing a couple of Polka tunes including his biggest hit "Just Because." Enjoy it for me, will ya?
